George Witt started the company in February of 1995 in a one-bay shop in a storage building on a dead end dirt road. The first few months he worked totally alone.

He soon hired a helper to get parts and take customers to work. After 6 months, the one-bay shop was no longer workable, due to increased business.
He then moved to a 3-bay shop near the current location. He hired Scott as a Service Advisor to answer the phone and shortly had to hire a Technician to handle the increased business. In only 6 months, that shop had been outgrown, so the operation was moved to a 5-bay shop. That lasted a year and a half. In November of 1997 the business was moved to its current 10-bay location.

It's very significant to note that George Witt Service, Inc, never ran a newspaper, TV or radio advertisement during this tremendous growth period. The only advertising was George's Newsletters and word-of-mouth.

By treating customers right and doing quality work, the business has grown to one of the largest independent shops in the city in less than five years. Good news travels fast and is now spreading nationwide.

Shop owners and managers from several other states and Canada have traveled to see the operation first-hand and learn how to better run an automotive service business.
